  1. Am about finished rebuilding the front Calipers and now looking at doing the rear Brakes. Changing shoes n cylinders.

How long do you think it should take me given that I haven't done this before and if they front is anything to go by they will be full of cack ?

  2. If you`ve never tackled anything like this before, it takes as long as it takes - pointless rushing things....

I`d put aside an afternoon if that helps - assuming the lines/cylinders come off ok

  3. ^this. Do one side at a time so you remember how everything fits together!

  4. Thanks, blow me down if I didn't take the drum off and they have only a tiny bit of wear.
Resetting the handbrake is that's required!
    Whoopie!

  6. Would be worth dismantling and greasing things like the star adjusters with copaslip.

  7. Good idea, I hadn't thought of that! Wheels are back on and I need to get Cyril running so I think I'll do them again before the summer.

I hate the star fangled nuts, almost worth the cost of discs so I never turn them the wrong way again, or adjust them do a road test then have to stop and wait for the drums to cool down before crawling home to start all over again!!!
