Rather than sit around moping cos of the weather

i got up early and decided to do something worthwhile so i made this.
two coke cans, one metal wilkinsons mug, one wire coat hanger, a 1p piece, some cotton wool, tin foil and some rubber sleeving. saw it online and though that looks good.

this is my version, with stand and handle all packed into the cup


drop of meths and got pretty good flames from the holes.


and took three minutes to boil a cup of water . thats going in the van. trouble is it only took me an hour to do so i need to find something else to make. Hobo stove next methinks.

I would have set fire to the house if i had made that.

 

i'm easily bored - theres a 8x5 metre square tarp in the shed and some 6 mm rope - i'm going to get the sewing machine out and see if I can make an "awning" that I can connect to my figures of 8 and hoy over the six man tent to give me a bigger living space. havent got an oild paint tim to make a hobo stove but i'll pop into tescos and see what i can find there. i feel it may be a long weekend at this rate.

I'm going to do some stained glass today - the reflection of light off the snow is making it nice and bright in the house for seeing what I'm doing (I need natural light for stained glassing).

Heres my hobo stove
I normally run it on twigs or small sections of wood battend out of a larger piece if everythings quite damp
If im in an area where burning wood isnt a good idea then i use it with a small meths burner
