Friend of mine has this for sale, Based in Southed, Essex - looking for £350, PM me and ill pass on his details.
No idea personally, apparently ratty ones are going for £250 on ebay - I guess he'll take an offer...
That's about right for a Mk2 in Survivor nick, pity about the grips. It's not VW scene tax, bikes are a bigger thing.......you want serious wedge try Old Skool BMX's.....even ones that were crap and worth bugger all when new e.g. Blue Max and Raleigh Mag Burners are worth strong money now. Original PK Rippers and SE Quadangles are worth heart attack money....the pity is a lot of people don't know what 90's bikes look like and how they are worth less than the 80's bikes (70's bikes were too heavy!)
I know the whereabouts of an original Haro freestyler.....virtually unridden...totally stock apart from Z rims.....
Ah good old ACS Z rims...bendy bendy! What colour is the Haro? I had a GT Pro 4, Araya 7x with race lace on sealed Suntour hubs, redline flights, sealed Tioga BB, Odyssey traps, GT bars and stem, Epoch Headset, dia compe brakes with ACS mini mountain levers and glow in the dark Ame grips. I saved for 2 years to buy that bike in bits....and my brother gave it away when I went away to uni. I reckon that's a £800 bike now...it was worth more than that then
I hope you battered him.... The Haro is chrome silver, with blue decals, so early 80's....before they started doing them naff colours...although they look nice in white... Mate used to have a GT performer....that was lovely to ride.....and the spoiled b*stard down the street (there's always one) had an Ultra Burner, and couldn't jump it for sh*t.....I on the other hand, was more into trials riding, so cobbled together various long frames, stupid wide bars, tiny cogs and motorcycle levers...The kids these days don't know they're born....even a basic trials bike has hydro rim brakes....you hear them squeaking around the park a mile off think it's a bit of a renaissance what with Danny McCaskill and Martyn Ashton doing their thing.... I fell off and bust my knuckle trying to do a rolling stoppie the other day.....fortunately no one was watching didn't mention it to the kids at school....don't know what i was thinking about....i'm a grown man ffs
Back in the room...... anyway I was going to say, you could buy a "cheap" MK3 Chopper and make it look like an old one, as I did. I only spent £350 , dohhhh! Oh well at least it matches the bus!
I remember seeing this on here before, didn't realise it was a newer one, very nice, i went and got a mk2 one just after that all original but a bit used for £20, might of had a bargain
We had that re trimmed to match the bus, and we now have a Chipper and a tomahawk almost finished in matching bus colours which we'll have out at a show or two soon !
