Quick Petrol Tank Removal

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by Lydart, Aug 18, 2013.

  1. I was fed up with all the crud blocking the filter so I decided to remove the tank and give it a clean. Took 15min to remove air filters, fan, cables etc and a further 45min to remove the tank with the engine still in.

  3. bet you bent the brazed on fuel pipe dragging the tank out;)

  4. No I didn't, but you do need to be a bit careful when you wiggle the tank to get it out.

  9. Didn't even need WD40. Must be the benefit of a Californian.

  10. Gave the tank a good shake and this is the result.
