they should have bungs in, most have rotted away, good for injecting waxoil in, i imagine they were there in manufacture for something like paint to come out of they dipped the shell?

  3. I think Ricky is on the right lines, I heard they were for an assebmly jig to fit into or for a roll over jig type thing.

...........but very useful for adding waxoyl into.

but welding them up wont be the end of the world though, I'm keeping mine for periodic waxoyl protection

mine actually looks like a double skin, the flanges are not present, i'm guessing at one time it's had a new valance stuck over the old one, the panel lines on the rear quarters just dissapear too, i'm guessing it had a rear shunt in the past - guess i'll find out one day when i'm brave enough to go for a full respray!

No Rick, there's a post about 1-2mm behind the panel.

  8. When the vehicle was new, these holes were blanked off with a couple of plastic plugs.

I thought they was a screwdriver holder to assist you with changing the forever fading cheapo rear light lenses..I have bungs in now though after the inner chassis was dinitrol treated!
