Quick metal thickness question

Hi all,

I need to patch up the top of the rear chassis rail, not the engine surround but the actual chassis rail top.

But like an idiot, I forgot to measure the thickness but wanted to order some today, does anyone know what thickness it is?

Chassis is usually 2mm.

 

2-2.5 mm

 

Thanks guys. Is the 2 - 2.5mm depending on how much surface rust it has? Or do I actually need to measure as different sizes were used?
