Quick late Devon roof Q

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by snotty, Nov 23, 2018.

  1. If you've got one: are the box sections of the spring struts at an twisty angle to each other with the roof down? Rotate and straighten up parallel to each other with the roof up? Ta.

    Not on mine
I think there’s some roll pins in the box section that keeps it straight.

Away for the week so can’t check

No, they stay straight when up or down and also when raising or lowering. From memory there’s a tiny little rivet somewhere to hold em.:)

Ozziedog,,,,,, you gotta know when to hold em, know when to fold em, :)

  4. There is indeed a roll pin in the tube centre, but its only profound purpose seems to be to stop the chrome tube sliding down the spring when the roof's up.

I do have a slight twist with the roof closed. I'll investigate further...
