quarter light rivet

anyone ever put the rivet in the quarter light hinge and not used the huge river gun /pliers ,can you whack it with two hammers or is that as risky as it sounds.

 

Save yourself hassle and use a stainless pop rivet. Works well.

 

You can do it with a piece of wood and a hammer with a pinch ground to 120degrees ish
