I have some working cocker pups at the moment, a friend of a friend wants to take one back to their home in France while they are in the UK, when they go back the pup would be 12 weeks. I can find reference to taking young pups over and they say there are differnt rules for them, but I cant for the life of me find these rules on the net, has anyone any experience with this situation??

  2. I always thought that to take a dog from the UK to France it had to have a rabies injection, but not sure what age vets will give them this six months rings a bell.

  3. As far as I know, get it chipped, inoculated, then a pet Passport and off you go.
We bought our doggy back from Germany in 2009, and the UK had a few rules, which have now been relaxed.
There was a test to see if the Rabies jab had taken, and the dog could only enter the UK not less than 12 hours and not more than 24 hours after it had been de wormed and passed as healthy.
This was a bit of a problem to comply with in mid winter, trying to catch a booked ferry at Calais, at the end of a 500 mile drive from Munich.
