    Without a thermostat, the unit should keep running. Re voltages, mine works a treat down to 11.85 volts, then it refuses to light (which I think is how they're designed to operate)

    think it's about 10.5v but yeah mines the same if flat, fan runs but no lighty.

    So how long will a leisure battery hold enough charge to keep giving out the volts?
