Good effort but no where near up to standard The only way to do them is to put the effort in and do it properly Only use black polish dont use parade gloss and use pure cotton wool balls instead of polishing cloths Any short cuts will cost you later Is it bed packs from linen and wool sheets next?
A good sylvet is best, nice and used they're crap when new. Or a diamond polishing cloth also works well! As para says wet cotton buds to remove smears. Loads of layering first buffer them up with a pair of tights every couple of layers to get the best shine.
Cmon guys - its Beeston memorial not the Cenotaph and as I say they will be trashed as soon as tick tock charlie steps on them!
First parade for my boy (ATC) on Sunday. His uncle will be along to watch with beret and medals - might be a bit misty eyed.
I'm not either but looking back over the years, I have often wondered what life would have been like in the RAF as a ground tech. Jake, Michelle's eldest is carrying the flag for Kirkbys Army Cadet Branch on Sunday
For those of you who havent served theres no problem with that If you pay respect by wearing a poppy or attending a parade or even buy a waffling ex serviceman a drink in the local Your doing your part
Buy and wear a poppy 50 pence Go and watch your local parade free but priceless Go back to the pub the old guys go to good move Buy an old guy a drink and listen to his storys thats well worth it
Why only the old? Surely any serving or served have stories from far away lands where most will never go??
