posting camper seats..... Help?

  1. Sorry got some questions as usual.

I ahve bought 2 cabseats but need to make life easier for the seller.

Whatis best company, and cheapestish, for posting two cab seats?

Do they have to be wrapped in something other than bin liner and tape to hold one on top of another perhaps??

is there a way of sorting pickup for evening at particular time convenient to seller?

Any advice would be appreciated :)

Ps unless somebody from Daverty is willingto collect and visits Anglesey ;) ;)

  2. interparcel.com

give em a go might be pricey though as heavy n bulky i would have thought will need wrapping up as well

Pack them seperately, 2 parcels and try to keep under 15kg each. Try parcels to go and be very tight with your dimensions. I wrapped some with stiff cardboard and taped them to death. Cost me less than £10 per seat. Don't put them in a large box and quote the size of the box, wrap them tightly and put size as 60x70x25 or similar. :)

  4. Try www.p4d.co.uk

Maybe look at sending them as separate items dependant on the size and weight.

    Hope this helps.

    Scott.

  5. Thanks.... Getting there with your advice and nformation...

Any idea on weight as they ask for that.

Cannot find if any of these will pick up on weekend or in time slot of choosing and evenings of weekdays?

  6. Have used this site a fair few times now and have to say with the usual check of feedback you would do on the sellers on eBay it works great.

    http://m.shiply.com/

That might be the mobile site as im on the phone. To give you an idea I got a 2.5m kayak from Southampton to Blackburn for £30 next day service compared to parcel force who want to charge me over £200

It works on the principal that a delivery van is going that way and there is space; then it makes sense for the company to quote for your parcel and make some money from an empty van or more if your bit will fit!

    TV's are not advised ;)

Defo get them secure but the couriers have done this for me too in the past and I've just paid an extra £10 or so.

Anyway have a look you don't have to except any of the quotes so no tie in's by asking :)
