porsche twists

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by grub, Feb 25, 2013.

  1. Are porsche twists likely to fit straight onto a late bay with a standards wircth beab?

Wheels ate 7inch fronts with 205/40x17 tyres, rears are 9 inch with 215/45x17 tyres, front wheels adapters (112 -> 130) are 20mm wide and rears adapters are 25mm wide.

Piccies of anyone's bus who have fitted these wheels awould be ace.
    cheers

Depending on the offset the rear ones sound wide! My 5.5 steeliness are tight.

  3. I've got standard steels on at the mo and I have 1.5 inches between tyre wall & inside of rear wheel arch.

You'll need to know the offset of the twists.
Most of the 1.5 inch space you currently have will be taken up by the adaptor.

  5. Hi Ade ,this is mine fitted with 215 x 40 x going to go up to 215 x 50 x 17 soon to get the gearing right.
Not sure of the rim width but i have spacers fitted.[IMG]

  6. Hi Steve,
Do you have any rubbing issues on the front of yours - are they 215s on the front?

Just worried that the wheels themselves may be too wide - gonna try and get up to the guy's house so I can try them on my bus.

dunno whose bus this is/what size wheels they are - assuming these are the ones you refer to!

  8. 215 x 40 x 17 no rubbing

  9. I would of said rears are way to wide at 9inches

  10. them are the ones morkc68 - think they look good but 9 inch does sound a bit wide - do porsche twists come in different widths?

Look for Porsche Cups too. They look pretty similar.
