Hi Has any one else had a problem with this company? I have shelled out £550 to replace my pop top canvas. The order was made online on 26th December 2017 and paid upfront, however they never answer their phone or reply to emails. Pretty shocking service
When I wanted a new canvas, they quoted a 3 month lead time, they make them to order, and I suppose they wait until they have more than one order. They did not seem very interested in doing business. Tony
I went over to Upton on Severn to pick up some canvas and look at drive away awnings.....he said he was closing to go on holiday, but cut me a length, but said he had no awnings to view, despite his advert showing a field of errected awnings. This was about 4 years ago and he didn't seem bothered about doing any business back then.
I used proud to pop. Order was on time. I called to discuss modifying the order and they were great at answering the phone and very accommodating. If you paid using your credit card, perhaps you could speak to the card issuer and see if they will refund you and recover the cost from the company. Explain that the goods have not been supplied and that reasonable attempts to contact them have gone unanswered. I’m sure another company would welcome your business. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
In fairness I ordered some bellows from them in 2015, they were in stock, delivered quickly and fitted a treat. Perhaps I was just lucky!
Thanks everyone. I will try one last attempt to make contact, but it is infuriating that a company should have a live website and not bother to answer emails or calls. I have to report the transaction to my bank, but really disappointed that a company should trade in this way.
Same problem here: ordered a skylight and some other bits back in November. He delivered the skylight itself pretty quickly, but the rest I only got yesterday. To cap it off, he sent another skylight, and charged me for both of them. So now I have to contact him to fix all that mess. To be honest, I’m not that bothered about the wait, but I can never get him on the phone and he doesn’t answer emails. Very frustrating.
I ordered new struts, catch's , hinges and seal from them (all at different times) and each one arrived within a week . I had to phone them once about the hinges and they answered straight away and were very help full. Maybe just the bellows they struggle with. Hope you get it sorted.
He did finally get his stuff together. Told me he had been ill, although told me he was better now so do not know what is causing the latest hold up. I think he does read the forums as I got a response a few days after my post. He always called me. Again never got an anwser from his phone. Quite happy with everything now I finally have it.
Does anyone know if this company is still operating, I placed an order with them for parts totalling £85 6/10/19 but haven’t heard anything since. They don’t answer the phone or emails, does anyone know what’s going on.
As per my experience http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/poptop-parts-co-uk.79492/ check you bank statement as the funds may not have actually come out of your account.
Hi. So does this place work or not? As much as I have read I don't feel that confident ordering from them On the other hand I need parts for my devon moonraker (side elevating). Or anyone knows a place I can get new canvas, hinges, struts & catches that ships around Europe?
