Gas

Some of our younger members will not remember the good old gasbob.
Stick it in your meter to make sure you had enough gas for that bacon sarnie or roast dinner.
I remember my parents collecting loads of the old shillings or "bobs" so the gas wouldn't run out and putting them in the gas meter by turning the key heating it drop into the collecting box.
Then when the gasman came around to empty the meter exchanging a fiver for a load of Bob's.

 

Guessing this is "Bob" but where's he from?
