    the probelm with electronic ignition is only if the module fails, you'll need a spare or a set of points and condenser to refit if this happens whilst on the road, they reckon the running is better with electronic ignition but i don't know personally, i bought one of those modules 18 months ago and still haven't fitted it as my points seem fine.
