Called around this week for insurance on the camper. Lowest cost £167 (had 3 quotes around this price, then another 3 ranging from £220 to £270, then the one company I thought was going to beat everyone.......£369 ! I know most people will call around but for those that maybe think certain companies are more geared up for our vehicles, please call around. I'm not going to name names on the expensive ones as it may be different for others and they have not actually mis-sold or treated me badly but those that were competitive this year were Peter James, Heritage and Carole Nash. I went with Carole Nash for a second year. That's all. Just saying like.
Agreed Lofty ,thou throw into the mix a lot of the people you/me/everyone else may speak to are themselves juggling the price they can offer you/us, for me ,it all ends when I am asked " had a quote from elsewhere?" "and how much was that quote?> (now I am ranting, admittedly) worse thing to say to me "cannot get no claims cos its a specific policy/historic vehicle " >>>REALLY!!!! ,well I can ,and do ,but at end of any day the cost is the cost and the devil is always in the detail.>£1oo per year, total minimum ins.its legal.does me.>rant over.
I went with Carole Nash as I've been very happy with them as my motorbike insurer, very competitive and a nice free hoodie!
Is there a definitive list of good insurers? I need to get the Crewcab insured and have heard that this can quite difficult?
I've been with RH insurance for my MGB for the last 8yrs no problems...premium never rose ....just transfered the policy over to the bus....£147 fully comp, unlimited milage and agreed value of £16K
