These seats were repaired and re upholstered by myself using professionally made pale blue vinyl seat covers in late 2010. I used foam rubber to make the padding. At the time I had to replace three z springs on the passenger seat and weld some springs. The original covers were vinyl also so the springs are not particularly rusty as they have not been exposed directly to damp through fabric seat covers. They have been used for 75000 miles since repair so the piping is frayed and the vinyl has some holes worn around the back of the seats. The total mileage on the bus is 127000, the seats have come that far with the bus. No springs have broken since the repairs. The springs on the underside of the drivers seat have not needed repair. They are completely serviceable as they are, they were replaced with alternative seats bought on impulse in November. Price : £100 the pair. Location : Southampton .
