  1. Hi all,

Sorry for not being here for several years...

I'm looking for pics showing in all door, tailgate and sliding door areas showing where the paint lines should be. Camper will be two tone white/green.
    Post pics if you can?

    Got you.
Most important is the door gaps if you imagine them without a seal you want to see outside colour through the gap.

    @Clive Neilands
    Clive I've been thinking... dangerous!
Chip was originally Dakota beige single colour. I think you want pics from someone who has a factory 2 Tone bus...
Not sure but maybe @77 Westy , Geoff?

I don't know if they used white buses and painted the colour, or used coloured buses and painted the roof and top half...30 odd years ago Chip was painted white inside as well but over the beige.
May need an OG bus owner to lift the floor mats and take pics inside the slider shuts and hatch area:thinking:
Does that make sense @Zed ?

Ah got you now. Sorry I've no original paint lines to show.

  10. Ok, I think before I could only see white from inside the bus when all doors were closed and fully assembled. Its been a long resto, Covid screwed it up a bit, lack of funds etc.

Latest hiccup was the painter is getting a divorce so lost his workshop and spraybooth at his house.
A little more metal work is needed, some panels needed too much bondo so they need to be massaged cut or welded. New welder found and bus booked in. Need to get this done!

Well based on that and what Zed has said then I think what's been done to Chip is ok. Cab steps and all round the doors to seals are external colours. Inside, top a pillars around roof etc are all white. We can't see any grey inside nor any white outside on the lower grey if that makes sense

  13. Yes I noticed that. Stock is what I'm going for. BTW... I got a visit from a member here... Joker was driving his squareback up the Nordkapp. Funny thing was his that his rocker cover gaskets were leaking and he was using too thin oil. Sorted him out with gaskets and some 20/50. He has been driving in -15 with 20/50 and no problem... oops.. I mentioned oil.

  16. I know... its been on the back-burner but renewed push now.

Some serious work there bud. I smile everytime I see a cut out for the fuel sender...do you still have that label in the little plastic bag? It's become a legendary fuel starvation story
