Prepped roof for painting; where is best place to get outer lip seal poptop parts or any other reccomendations. Where do I start and stop rear ? Also did engine set ups today 6 out of 8 tappets badly out, timing out and set carbs up the best 1/2 carb seemed to rich but when weakened engine stalled 3/4 seemed better. Just couldnt compression test as my tester was not long enough to fit . Next job is engine piston strip in 2 weeks a quick dilema do I stick with 1600cc or uprate to 1649cc as not confident to do total strip this time.
A 1641 is one moped's-worth extra capacity. Is it worth the expense? I'd doubt you'd notice the difference.
There seems to be better places to spend money than bigger barrels. Carburettors and exhausts seem to pay back more. But if the pistons and cylinders need replacing then the percentage difference in price is not large compared with the cheapest and most expensive versions of the same size pistons.
if the B's & P's are serviceable, better to spend your money getting the valve seats cut and reground properly, while the heads are off
