Our new bus :)

  1. Well we cracked on with a few more jobs yesterday, removed the windscreen, cleaned up the dash ready to be painted, removed passenger seat and visors etc, which have come up really well.

Wheels are off to be painted too, it's now on the ramps for all the brakes to be replaced. Making some headway.

I had a little clean up of the front arch too and was amazed to find all original paintwork underneath in amazing condition too. So there's another job to do and then cover with clear waxoyl. I will stick some pictures up later.

  4. As promised a few more photos, wife's phone is still rubbish, so I got a few more photos today after a bit more work was carried out, backs now lower, brakes are sorted, and Amy ( my wife) took the engine out.
Also cleaned the front arches out and was stunned at rhe original paint underneath, so plan on cleaning this up a little more then clear wax oil it, cleaned up the dash a little and started to paint, some may not like the colour but we like it, we may change our minds thou. Till next weekend. :)

  12. Nice one :) - patina is nice - rust not so - fine balance but I think patina buses are more practical - less worry about perfection then, which is almost impossible to achieve with these things anyway!

  13. I agree, less worry about chipping shiny new paint work, this is probably one of the most solid vans I have seen, needs a new battery tray, and a floor panel, but other than that, its solid.

Just cant wait to get it on the road...

  14. All is well at the moment haha good stuff! Bus looks a goodun! How long are you in Cornwall for? Me and Emma are honeymooning down there in july!
