Opening Rear Windscreen

  1. I m about ready to fit one from Blue Bird. Has anyone got any piccies of one installed, particularly the hinges and catches. I d like to be doubley sure before drilling. Oh and sealants for the seal, its not continuos. Ta muchly

  6. Try and get some pics up tomorrow for you. They do recommend welding the support brackets on to the tailgate, but I ended up using rivnuts and stainless bolts as I had already had the tailgate painted when we decided to fit it! Never used any sealer and so far not seen any leaks although only really been out in a couple of light showers.

  7. Cheers Gazman. Just as I thought. What seems to be a straightforward job suddenly requires a doctorate in astrophysics:). Its much appreciated. If our paths cross I ll get the beers in.

  11. Now I've seen the picture, mine will be no good to you, mines very similar to the Heritage type with the stainless frame around the screen. That Bluebird one looks a damn sight easier to fit though! Well done Bungle..

  12. Jonbott off here has the creative engineering one and is about to remove it because it leaks badly
