I've been away from here for sometime but checked in and was pleased see we hadn't been spotted on the back of the yellow taxi. A frustrating end to a great week in Cornwall, where we celebrated 10 years of ownership and 100 nights away in Anni. We only got as far as Exeter and she conked out, throttle was unresponsive, electrics seem ok possible fuel pump issue? We tried a few miles with the AA man following as a personal escort but it was really running too rough to go for the 120+ miles to get home. Due to lack of AA recovery trucks the great AA man decided it was easiest for him to lift us up and take us all the way home to Hampshire. Final diagnosis and cure yet to be established, any ideas?
Maybe the pin dropped out of the fuel pump lever.. it gravity feeds on a full tank but gets worse as the fuel level falls. Or a fuel filter blocking up ..
Picture of the engine bay would help then we don’t have to guess what engine, carb and ignition set up is in there?
