    Nope I'm sat with the PC on my right (my left ear cannot hear as well from years of working next to hydraulic pumps)!

  17. My dad worked on British Rail for 40 years and my grandfather drove steam traction engines, so I grew up with rails and steam. I wouldn't consider myself a train buff but trains and steam things seem to have a strange attraction to me.

    what part of BR Fronk? My Dad was at British Rail Research in Derby from 1967 through to 1994!
     
  19. A signalman in Norwich goods yard from about 1960 to 1975 then a train manager (ticket inspector) on Intercity to and from London for about 20 years, with the last 5 years in a ticket office at Stowmarket. He didn't like to be out in the cold or get his hands dirty!
