    Hey Guys and Gals

My dad is on the lookout to get a camper. There are many horror stories of ebay purchases with loads of work needed. He is looking for a really solid camper same as everyone, that dosnt cost the earth. (Sensible honest prices)

In all honesty its open at the moment if its a Split early or late bay.

So if you know of anyone selling that it truly is a gem then let me know.

He is in no rush what so ever and may not purchase until mid winter when prices are down so please keep me in mind if you ever hear anything over next six months or before.

He is just looking and getting an idea at the moment, but I guess if the right one comes along.

I mean I have seen splits advertised for 25k and then see them go for 16k at the end of the day and they are fully restored. Thats a gem.

    Cheers
    Dean

  2. be worth popping down to Brighton Breeze as there are often some there and as its at the end of the summer they tend to sell for less

  3. Fantastic :)

Do you have an idea of his budget? Does he want LHD, RHD? Does he want a tin top or a pop-up?

  8. We found ours on Pistonheads. Luckily it was being offered for sale by an enthusiast who bought it, fixed some bad bits and passed it on. Nice people and i knew i could trust them when i met them. Okay you have to accept a bit of rust here and there. Its an old bus after all but youve just got to keep a look out in the usual places and then take a chance. As i said i used Pistonheads and Autotrader and Ebay. We are Veedub virgins too.

So far ive found most VW camper people to be pretty honest and upfront. Okay they may be a bit deviant and have some dodgy drinking habits but overall theyre honest upstanding deviants with alcohol issues.

  11. We bought ours from the person who now runs Busaholics - he mainly imports and does up but does occasionally sell on straight imports.

He's based around Oxford (still I think) but would be worth contacting him to advise you are in the market. I would trust him if you don't want to go down the e-bay route!
