    Doug, we use fuel pipe with a slit in it as it gives more cushioning/protection, just a thought, might be the wrong sort of rack, I can't remember what yours looks like.

    I think that'll be too rigid for how I was gonna use it.
    I was just going to cut it the size if the clamps and basically rubber line the whole things.

    You dip it in, more times thicker the coating, it can be used for things like coating plier handles among others, although i bought it specifically for the roof rack feet
