Thanks again. On a different subject the crankcase breather box should it contain any filter material or is it just a separation vessel?
So I measured the case i have rebuilt, the recess measures just less than 12mm deep. Checked the case on the one I removed from the bus & it measures just over 12mm so there is some variation. I have found a local bearing & seal supplier who stocks the double lip viton seal in 10mm but not in 12mm. Think I will go with it as you say a double lip seal has got to be a more reliable option. Found the flywheel/flex plate O ring in the gasket set.
Well….it’s a double lipped seal. If it’s 75x95x10mm it will fit and if it’s 75x95x12mm it’ll fit if the recess is deep enough. But still make sure the seal isn’t fouling on the flywheel radius.
