Just thinking can you fit one to a camper. I have came across one in my box of junk/gold its an AC one and it goes 0-15-45-75 KG/CM2 is this for a motor bike. I will post a picture up when I can. The main question is can you fit one and how
simple fit I'd imagine! You need a sender which fits into a t piece so the oil pressure switch can still be mounted - the gauge will wire into the sender! Id imagine you need the correct sender though
I would say a mechanical one, seeing as there isn't any fixings for electrics just some thing in the centre to attach a pipe.
You might have trouble running an oil pipe all the way from the engine to the front of the bus. I'd say it wasn't suitable.
Thanks snotty, would an electrical one work. Am just throwing ideas out, I was thinking of a rev counter as well. Does anyone have one and know were and what to buy the best one on a tight a*** budget of nil
Yes, we can help: http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_spares...0F-10-V310012_act_shop.product_pID_114677.htm http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_spares...eng-5-V323888_act_shop.product_pID_100097.htm
A Smiths rev counter from a rubber bumper MGB is cheap and a pretty good match for the original VDO speedo; like this one on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MGB-GT-Ro...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item338be8e131 Oil pressure gauge from the same car would work too.
Funnily enough I have a bus in the workshop with an oil pressure guage like this. I don't know if it works and I'm 2/3rds through welding the chassis so not an ideal time to find out.
Would be pain on long runs, I'd think. The (stock) oil pressure gauge on my old Ford used to be the same: "t" a thin oil pipe off from the engine, and connect it behind the dash.
