Saw what look like a flake of rust on this here pipe, had a touch, end up with a big hole and the flake that was there is now inside....

I've got to sort the manifold boots at some point any way, looks like I'll have to sooner than later.

Looks slightly less than ideal that Jon!
I guess it'll now have an almighty air leak and run lean on one side?

  3. No, that's the preheat pipe. It'll just mean that his exhaust will be blowing.

    That's a result then (comparatively)!

  5. Cut a piece of tin can sufficient to cover the hole completely when bent to take the shape of the pipe. Then wrap in Holts exhaust bandage...bind up then allow to cookup slowly. It won't look very pretty but should last a month or two at the very least.
Had to do this for someone else a while back ...:(

Thanks guys, that sounds better. Like I said, I need to do the manifold boots anyway but if I can get away with a running repair that'd be good. Got some exhaust repair kit somehwere......so Doug, I'll pm you any sec about that manifold....
