Summer is here and projects are flooding into my head. My bed coffee table idea took a turn for the better today. The idea was to have a table platform that would pull out from under the rear mattress. However it meant the mattress sitting over 2" higher than the rest of the bed making it quite uncomfortable. So while trolling around at a car boot sale today l bought this for £3

And the idea is that it'll sit here when in use:

And liking my multi use items it'll fit into this:

And then I have another use for this table but the bus was stuck in the garage and I didn't have the keys so it'll have to wait until next weekend.

This is still all prototype stuff as I'm still looking at ways for the original idea to work.

Be easier if you had it t'other way round as there's a whacking gap under the bed in bed-mode?

  7. Ha ha ha, you know B&Q (and other good retailers) sell something to paint it with.......... Would make it look different to ours..... X

  8. Not on ours, as its built in under our bed...... Ours is a different layout to the norm.... Well someone has to be different.

I'll be intrigued to see how yours is done. I've just looked over your pictures. I'm even more intrigued now to see how that interior works.

  10. No probs.... Will get him indoors to help take cover off and will post photo hopefully tomorrow.....

Nooooooooo. I have the kitchen units to use that way around. This is for when the sun is shining and I'm taking a coffee in bed. I don't like the idea of my tray balancing on the duvet.

And to prove we do/did get sunshine this is where the idea started from.

    That's funny.

That was from an excellent weekend away with Mike4 and the Hangovers in Exmouth sea front. 'twas strange having people say "morning" as I laid there having a coffee while in bed.

It's easier than Internet dating or using a well known iPhone app ;)
