(Green prototype bay??)) issue - mystery! she stopped dead, imagine no fuel / accelerator cable snap, and would not re-start, all usual checked and checked again, only slight thing was the Auto Choke, didnt seem right, battery charge over night as had run flat trying to re-start and is fine this morning, if a little more petrol fumes! Loose ignition coil power feed which also feeds auto choke. ..or dodgy ignition switch .. when starter circuit powered the run contact is disconnected. Or loose centre lead on coil, closed up points. Go and try to pull all the wires off the coil and see if any just drop off in your hand.
Glad you got back ok @daisytype2 and your bus is starting again. I would deffo change from points to electronic ignition (this will mean checking all connections in the process). Also, I took the rubber air filter connection off the top of the carb and put my had over the top of the card whilst at full revs - this sucked loads of crud out of the carb that the few filter seemed to miss!?!
