Hope he’s ok. I saw him supporting Eric Clapton years ago. It gave me the opportunity to go to the bar after a few songs as I’m afraid I found him a bit dull. I can’t stand the driving home for Xmas song either!
Not that keen on his `retirement ditty` (Driving home ...) but his earlier (80`s - 90`s) stuff was great . Good songs from the heart - Stainsby girls being a notable favourite He was brought up in Middleborough and i remember his parents had a cafe on Linthorpe road , - oddly enough called REAs cafe ... Sad news but glad he`s stable ...
Hope he's ok. IMO 'Dancing down the Stony Road' is a fantastic Album, i've never stopped playing it for long since it came out.
