Mine died going up telegraph hill once, on my first trip out in the camper, overtaking a broken down car and caravan. The Rozzers were already on the scene for the caravan so I ran back down the road to tell them, he came up and told me if I didn't get towed within an hour they would charge to move me as I was in a dangerous place. He even told the brakedown company. 5 minutes later the copper turned up with a tow truck to pull up the out off the way. There are nice people out there.
I had similar in Plymouth and got taken to court (4 times) for "Leaving a car in a dangerous position". I argued and proved that my car was n/s and the case got dismissed. Not a waste of tax payers money at all.
