Good old Matlock Spa ,we had a meet there a few years ago after winter camp ,@lowie ,@rickyrooo1 ,@WoodyLubber ,cant remember the pub ,still got burns in my camping chair and jacket from Rickys dodgy scandanavian pallet wood @MorkC68 let us down and didnt show
We rented a cottage there once and went on a cable car nearby as well as Alton towers and all the local scenery. On our last day the cottage was ransacked and all our stuff was either trashed or stolen. It was the son of the cottage owner, and the landlord of the pub we'd been drinking in every night. The locals are lovely
Matlock has a certain nostalgic charm to it - we used to go a lot at one time. I don't expect there would have been too many bikers there yesterday.
I live in Matlock, I once put a complaint to the local council trying to ban Pikey Vw Camper owners parking up.
no bikers yesterday but ive been a few times in summer when thats all you can see you get to see some amazing machines {and some right rubbish]
to be honest, Matlock Bath is only mile or so from Matlock but I hardly ever go down there as it gets very busy, The Fishpond pub has been done up and serves good food and real ales though and if you did go into Matlock the steep road up called Bank Road had the steepest tramway in the world at one point, apparently the tracks are still under the road, Run to the Hills vw show used to be held round the corner on Cromford Meadows many years ago . They Scooters boys have a day beat the bikers, they get there early to get the best parking.
Miners Standard is in Winster, I think it's popular with camper owners, yep they got campsite round the back.
yes it's like Skeggy inland at summer weekends, hence not going near, ........well occasionally just to check for Pikeys
next to the aquarium was aquarium arcade theres no Marmite in the river thou unlike the sea at skegness
ive allways wanted to go to matlock xmas lights but i allways miss them i think they switch them on in october and turn them of in november strange matlock folk
