My daily french diesel hack (only had for 3 weeks) wouldn't start this morning, starter turned but wouldnt go. I did a few checks etc and decided that it was either the low pressure fuel pump or something else electrical. I had to go to work this morning so had to use the mrs' car. I rang my usual parts supplier but the guy i normally deal with wasn't there so spoke to someone else. How much is tank sender / fuel pump? i ask. he looks into it and says that there isnt one listed, its only a sender not a pump on your model. so after much messing about checking fuses / relays etc i gave up and called the RAC the patrol man said, oh i get loads of these, it's the pump in the tank. he gave it a whack and the car started. so now i have to wait till monday to get the pump that isn't fitted to my car!
