I’m expecting some ******* taking so bring it on
I parked my camper up just after Christmas and haven’t touched it since, yesterday I thought I would take it for a spin around town, I got in turned the key the worry lights on the dash came on but nothing not even a click, I know the battery is fully charged cos I’ve only just charged it, I’ve got a key and push button on the dash set up, help I’m supposed to be going fishing today, could it be the switch? How do I check it

Smack the starter with a hammer mate.
Mine does this , no click .. nothing , a couple of taps of the starter while someone turns the key and voila !

Do I need to remind you to put it in neutral first ??

  3. He means put it in 1st with handbrake off :) :)

    I’ll try that, thank you

  5. Yep sounds like a jammed starter, give it a sharp tap:thumbsup:
If it keeps doing it then it needs replacing/refurbing.

  6. Sounds like the starter motor has decided not to play.

Check the model, if its a Jones and Farrell type, they just give up after 40 minutes of action............

Do the dash warning lights dim when to you try to start it.

Now I’m getting a click click click when I press the starter bottom on the dash so I’m guessing it’s the starter motor not the switch

  10. Sounds like your water pumps goosed ;)

Check the battery connections are tight if you took them off to charge it. Also the connections on the starter and the earth strap.

  19. Try jump starting it, batteries often fail in damp weather, you might find that after recharging it, a few cells have failed and its lost it charged.

Unless you left your Stannah cab-lift switched on..........................
