A couple of bits that thankfully didn’t stick! Chinny for a bit in secondary school as I apparently had a big chin (now subtlety hidden with a second chin), that evolved a bit into Jimmy Hill, but fortunately that didn’t last long either!! Grom for a bit as I seemed to be the last to join some of the crazes. The older lads in primary would call me Professor when I was a wee nipper in NHS specs and constantly pushing them up my nose. None stuck fortunately, altho professor made a recent comeback after a drunken works do! Tbh, it was hard enough getting Andy adopted over Andrew!!
I got a nickname the first year in secondary school. Mogee. After 12 months even my mum called me Mogee. I truly hated it, but even now people that grew up with me call me it. It was meant to be Mowgli after the character in jungle book as I looked like him, but the people that tagged me with it got the pronunciation wrong from the off. Says more about them than I could ever write
Jimmy Hill that takes me back, for our younger members he used to present match of the day when it was in black and white and Tottenham used to win trophies
