Hi all We've just done an 800 mile round trip to collect our 1979 green t2 from Cumbria (We are in East Sussex). We've fallen in love, we maybe a bit biased but our Dulcie is beautiful. In honour of this occasion we have decided to join the elite ranks of the Latebay gang!! Sadly, we couldn't make Brighton Breeze this year, but we hope to see some of you next year at many of the events in the Camper calendar!! Woo & Si
Hello and welcome. Dulcie is a great name for a bus!!( reminds me of my first motorbike elsie!) ;D Look forward to the pics and meeting you at somepoint
Welcome to the forum guys, hope you enjoy it here! What camper have you got, westie, devon, tintop...
Hi from fellow newbies. We know Appleby well and have done the trip numerous times over the years (not in a T2 tho'), hope it was a good trip. Our Reggie was repatriated from Wales so not quite as far. Green is the way to go! Look forward to some pics
Hi, Well our Dulcie is a beautiful green 1979 holsworth tin top. We have got a very comprehensive vw service history as wells as 19 years of mot's and a shed load of bills. Maybe one of you knowledgeable lot could answer a few questions, we are going to change the 1600 engine for a recon unit. What else will I need to alter to go for a two litre lump, IE gearbox carb etc. Also the passenger seat is an open back basket weave, that just hooks in at shoulder height and locates in slots at the bottom, is this a remenant from her days as a delivery van or a camper thing? Does anyone know of a good upholsterer in the South East as both cab seats could do with a bit of tlc. Pics on the way!!
If your after a good upholsterer, why not drop delilah on here a quick line, Ive not used them personally but, as they are forum sponsers, its worth asking them how much!
Hiya thanks for the warm welcome! Hopefully we'll see you all at some shows next year, we've already ordered our camperjam tickets..Hurrah!! Here is our beautiful girl - hope this link works!! http://s1116.photobucket.com/albums/k574/pranghams/
