newbies in somerset

Hi all newbies from somerset.....Will upload pics when i work it out lol....we got ALICE 1972 baycamper had her since last year(bought it via ebay from london had 1 way train fare and drove her bk...) needs abit of welding,and paint job!!.....upholstery and lining all done and new engine rebuild..think thats where all money went ;D will also upload quote for the work that needs doing,she had a full medical and may do some of work with mate O0

Hiya , must ask , did you go see bus 1st , make decision go home ,come back? or, did you throw caution 2 the wind and simply go with , as said 1 way ticket ? i bought mine on sight , not even a testdrive !! the things u do !

 

Hi Skint no we didnt go see alice 1st,Other half was saving for a house and always wanted a camper(me 2)...So we sent a few emails and phoned the chap in london..and following day got train tickets 1 way to london....And thought OMG were mad "what the hell are we doing"...we got to london and the bloke picked us up in alice and we went bk to his place,to go over paperwork,and ave a look at her!!!

So gf fell in love with her (alice was name of his daughter and as we were driving bk he phoned and asked if we could name her alice)funny thing is we both never drove a camper before,and we didnt have test drive we just got in and drove to somerset......and she made it bk in 1

i think all camper owners are mad ;D but we all love them, there more trouble than kids lol
