Hi all, I've been reading some of these pages for a while but have never signed up, thought I'd give it a go though. We're very keen on our oldies, especially VW's. We've got 2 late bays and an Early one, also a Mk1 Golf GTi, a 1963 Downton Mini, a 1989 Mini Thiry Cabriolet and a Berlingo for the everyday stuff.
Oh, forgot to mention that our other late bay (Beany) is currently away having some metal put back in where the tinworm has been. Here's a picture of the "before";

Sounds like the Hotel California? Camping away in North Wales this weekend in Bertie, our red 72 Danbury (my fave) with friends who have a 1975 Late Bay. Getting quite excited, we've a new awning too so might try that out. Bertie is an 1800cc Type 4 engined bus with a pair of Empi 40 HPMX carbs fitted, goes quite well but isn't shy asking for more to drink, took him a couple of years ago to the South of France and he loved it, over 1000 miles each way.
