  1. My brother has posted this picture on FB for me. Not sure what to think.

  2. VW knocked it on the head several years ago, I recall.

I think it was a concept car shown at some motor show or other. Looks interesting though :)

  4. The indicators are in the wrong place. :)

  5. bit small init .

  6. I think this is the latest iteration of the Bulli concept. There is talk that VW will take the 'mini Bulli' concept from last year and build it on the Touran/Tiguan platform as a lifestyle/crossover/SUV kind of thing. I'm not too keen on the lights of that above but I'd go for the mini bulli as it looked cool
    :)

  7. I recall VW deciding that no-one would buy it for the proposed price. As far as I'm aware, it didn't make it to production.

  8. If it leaks oil and does 20 or less to the gallon, I may be interested.

  9. I think it looks quite cuddly.

  10. I think you'll find it's your indicators that are in the wrong place.

  11. Mine are in the perfect place for a camper.
If I arrive at Keith's field and you haven't cut the grass, I can indicate and everyone will know which way I'm intending to go. :)

The rear indicators are high so is it a crossover?

  14. They've been coming up with these concepts for years - the motoring press is littered with them. They'll keep going until they find something profitable to sell to the masses - it's another in what is now a long line of resurrected classics as "lifestyle" vehicles - mini, beetle, fiat 500, etc etc........

What makes me laugh the most is that most of these things are re-imaginings of cars that were popular because they were affordable utilitarian vehicles for everyone, and yet they're not cheap to buy (look at the price of minis) and they're not cheap to run (ask @rickyrooo1 how many miles to the gallon his beetle did). They're just designed to be "kewl" ;) I think only the Fiat 500 has proved to be like the original - it's pretty cheap to buy, and runs on fresh air and daisies as far as I can see.

  15. Plus the inevitable up-sizing - the Concept One was based on the Polo. By the time it reached production, it was Golf-based.
