Hi, just a quick one, anyone here own/have owned recently a mk1 caddy? Am close to getting one as my winter run around/mini project, just want some last min feedback from anyone who might have one? The one I'm looking at is a 1989 G-reg, has 60k on the clock and is the 1.6 petrol. Seems very tidy indeed!
never had one, but would really really love one, so good luck! Spoke with a taxi driver once about old Vdubs. he had a caddy and swore it was the best winter driver around as it never let him down. Apparently had an engine that just kept going.
Gotta love taxi drivers, they will give you a story about any subject! Yeah, I just think it's something quite cool that'll get me through till next spring!
s'pose if you are handy with the spanners it can't be any worse than any other old car... but most other old cars aren't as cool. Go for it O0
