New owner with a few questions

Hi Dan, welcome to the site.

Go careful with using the AA in Europe, they don't actually operate over there,.

Redarmy had a problem in France and the AA sent a local recovery truck, which in all fairness towed his van to a Garage... Where it sat for ages ! It was a simple repair, we even had the spares required, but not the tools needed to jack the van and remove the engine. It was a 2-3 hour job..

But the garage wouldn't earn a lot from these little jobs, they earn or charge the AA more for daily storage.

Believe me when I say, the Garage had between 15-20 British cars there, waiting to be repaired.

In the end the van was shipped back 3 weeks after we got home.. The AA provided alternative accomodation and a car for Redarmy.
