New outer sill….any alternative to welding

Just cut out my old outer sill, about to replace with a Schofield replacement which is a great fit and good quality. I’ve treated inner sill , which is solid, with curerust and about to apply Dynax.
Was wondering, as it’s not structural, is there an alternative to welding it, was thinking of some pop rivets along the bottom and perhaps some sort of mastic adhesive along the top if it can take filler.
    Any suggestions?

    Despite your ideas and reality..
The sills are seen as structural and MOT men get concerned even as they are miles away from holding the bus together.

But modern panel adhesive can be used to stick ..
Provided you havent splashed Dynax around

I wouldnt try pop rivets.. thats sooo cheap and soon to be the start points for more rust..

I would plug weld along the bottom or even hire a spot welder... or use panel adhesive...it wont come off easily.. modern cars use a lot of it. Just dont block off the drain holes with glue or Dynax..

Pre drill holes in the inner and middle sill to get Dynax in after assembly .. make holes big enough for blind grommets...

Some of my panels were done with panel bond, by a BMW trained tech way back, with about that number of spot welds to keep it together.
