New gaskets - where do they go?

Opened new victor reins gasket set and recognise all of it bar these. Any ideas??

 

Have cut some celery up ?? ;-)

 

They go around the long barrel and head studs inside your crankcase.

I've never seen anything like them before. Maybe they are celery (did you know that Germans eat the wrong end of celery?)
