new accuspark distributor

Fitted a new accuspark electronic distributor to my 1600 tp, fitted it, started it up and timed it to full advance with the vacuum hose clamped, she sounds fine when running but she won't idle, just stalling when the revs drop, anyone any ideas?, I fitted the vacuum hose to the outlet on the carb, is this correct? or does it fit onto the manifold below the carb? got a festival this weekend would really appreciate any help or ideas

 

Are you sure you timed it right? 30 degs at max advance with vac hose disconnected and plugged?

It sounds like it may be too retarded at low revs

Is the hole on the manifold blocked off?

 

Found the problem, I must have knocked off the connection form the coil to the fuel solenoid when I was fitting the distributor, connected it back up, job done , shes purrin' like a kitten, new distributor is the biz !!
