There is a small development in the next village down from us, I've just noticed the names they've given to a couple of the townhouses in it. Broadmoor & Carstairs Why would anyone choose these as names & did they know what these places really are? ^-^
Naming them houses that, now that a strange way to go about it. PS I've been in Broadmoor a few times. :-X
OUr pedecessors had delusions of grandeur and called our house Newnham Lodge. I took the sign down, it was embaressing.
someone near me has named their house 'because' .... which i quite like .... my parents named their old house 'oakview' because there used to be a load of oak trees in the front garden ... but they got cut down and then i renamed it to 'view'
