That, I think, is the SEAT version of the FIAT 1800/2100/2300. Shares some styling cues with the BMC A60 and the Peugeot 404 as they all came from the Farina studios at the end of the 1950s. The SEAT came, I think, with a 1500cc 4 cylinder engine rather than the 6 cylinder ones in the Italian cars.
The old man used to own one of these in Nigeria. Had all mod cons. Indicators a flasher and dipper for the headlights. Edit. From memory I think that he rolled it on the way home from Kano Airport probably late fifties...
Fiat Millecento, my pal races one of these. I think that's the engine he made some conrods from scratch, cutting up some En24 plate with a hacksaw so he didn't have to mill too much away....
Shares a name with a utilitarian vehicle that has appeared on these pages but is unrelated and made in a different country. What is it?
Spot on . 1953 Siata 208S powered by the little Fiat Otto Vo 2 litre V8. Classic 50s barchetta styling.
I hadn't realised that someone had done a modern retake on the Ferrari 340 Mexico Berlinetta. I think I prefer the original. Yes, the grill is very similar to the Siata. The contemporary Maseratis often had a similar, if slightly more rounded, grill.
It would be the only thing left of it if it try to reinact a scene from the Dukes of Hazard!!! Some days you just give up asking WHY???
