they was done with a little airbrushing and paint brush the wings have a little house of kolor 2tone pearl to make them shimmer in the light

  9. well this is the last peice to be done and now the hole van is flatted down and the clear coat sprayed.
this is a personal thing for my lovely puffo a long story but its connected to us. this i made it up from 1950s popcorn boxs pics i got of the internet, then added my own personal twist to it.....and if you ever meet us you'll get to know hahahah
    [IMG]

  10. so im getting close to the end of the paint now the last coat of clear coat is next monday, just the front and rear to do plus one door because i just ran the Marmite out of it dohhhhhhhhhhh
    [IMG]
nice dirt floor of a steel barn hahahah

  11. so this is what ive been up to lately doing the engine and getting that in, its been along haul and been a real pain with taking the cowls on and off because thing fit before other things
    [IMG]
painted the tank with por 15 and other things with it as well
    [IMG]
ive thought i would do a 1641cc as the engine was out, nothing special standard carb ect but i bigger oil pump and bigger sump just to push more oil about a more oil to be push around.. till the day i put a scooby lump in.
colour coded the engine blue, black and silver painted the engine black engine enamal from the makers of por 15 bloody good stuff easy to paint on and a good finish.
    my nice big gold tubes.
    ready to go in
    [IMG]
new fuel pump even though im will be using my lpg convesion instead of petrol.thats why theres a funny looking thing sticking out my exhurst its the bit the turn the gas from a liquid to a gas though the heat of the exhurst. nice electronic ing
    [IMG]
in goes the tank with a new sender unit and all new rubber pipes and stuff.
hell painted the bloody lot lol now for the engine with out marking the paint work
    [IMG]

  12. there you go the hearts back in looking all nice
    [IMG]
just a idea ive got for the exhurst and the rear bumpers all will be reveiled once ive done some cutting and welding lol

  13. right now i can post more pics of the units thats going in
    [IMG]
this unit is from a t25 painted and replaced the trim with reimo trim and handles
    [IMG]
then in goes the insurlation 8 x 4 cut up to strips and the glued in place
then spray wax oil and anti rust worm juice, add the roof lining which is made from plastic 2mm coated with ally 0.5mm on both sides the only thing i could get which would span the hole roof in one lump with out a join because the roof lining is going to be airbrushed but more on that when its done. but first it had to be curved which was done be bending it over two welding gas bottles, it worked just lol
    [IMG]

  14. so ive got the inside covered and have been sorting out glueing the material to the lining board also been putting the front together
    [IMG]
this is my new stearing wheel a friend cut it out at his works its made from 5mm stainless steel a little bit more work to do with it yet before its done, more on it later
    [IMG]
ive fitted up the front end lights in now the vdubs not blind anymore and the vents all fitted
    [IMG]

  15. well ive been trying to fit the windows in the doors and put new seals in .. what a bloody nightmare of a job. first the window doesnt go in by the bottem as the hanes manual says... but in the end and buggering up the flim on the windows because things scraped and scratched it when fitting the windows.
but im a bloody expert in fitting windows now hhahaha 3 weeks and a set of new seals later lol
    [IMG]
the view inside at the moment
    [IMG]
    matt black and blue dash
    [IMG]
at last the windows in the doors took me 3 weeks to figger out how to get them in with out scatch the film on the glass
    [IMG]
matt black handles and 1/4 window frames
    [IMG]
the first pics of the van together on this side, the sliding door fitted easier than i guessed thank god .
next is to fit the door seals and then onto the engine to get plumped in and turned over

  16. [IMG]
ive got the front now fitted up with my matt black bull bar and little half bumpers so the front end is now done, doors done
    [IMG]
im now onto doing the engine and now fitting the lpg back in and pipeing it back up. it is very close in having ago in starting the engine. the next is to get the longer wheel bolts in the hubs and cv boots on and lower the back end a spline. still along way togo

  17. right a lot have been done since i was last on some good some bad and some ****** do your head in hahah so ive lowered it with red 9 kit on the front and C.E rear lowering plates, the put a black head lining in with black sun blinds, and C.E surfrie rear window kit, new ball joints and longer studs for the alloys, started the line out the insides with covered panels.. so heres the pics and also i got it out of the shed just under 3 years from when it went in....
now ive got to finish the insides fit all the units and airbrush the inside roof head lining, get the ICE in etc all in time for march fingers crossed

  18. right the i wanted to do something a little different so i airbrushed this on the ceiling..
but not only did i do that i drilled in 50+ led into the ceilling so some come on with the door and some come on with a switch or all on

  19. so heres more pics of the ceiling in place
    [IMG]
right then with the panels being covered in blue camo and then the ice and wiring that was done by a friend called jeff
    [IMG]
when the units went in the gas tank had to go down the side of the bus but i didnt like that all the weight on one side, but in the 3 years since i started the camper, jk had a new r & r bed frame which i could mod, so that the gas tank could be moved back to the middle. so i cut out 2" out of the frame to get it in. so that ment i had no where to put my speakers, so i then made the speaker pods so the 6x9 could be just at the right height out of fibre glass.
then i got my end can made its made from stainless steel having a lpg conv on the bus the best exhaust to have is the og one, a little boring, so i got a beetle og end box so i can have a monza look but better lol
    [IMG]
    the rear view
    [IMG]
as you can see i got the floor in, the kit from madmaz, easy to do even in a -2 metal dirt floored barn
    [IMG]
the gas tank undered the moded bed frame
    [IMG]
then came finishing of the back i had this idea from the start so i spent a day doing this badge its got 7 red leds 4 to be on with the lights and 3 more to come on when i break hahaha oh its been gold leafed as well.

  20. well if i was going to pimp it hell lets go realy mentle hahahah so blue neons lol
    [IMG]
    i love the cheese lol
    [IMG]
this is jeff doing his stuff and it wasnt for jef the bus would have never be done for the show....

its a fully shaped half surf board lol.
