oh dear, too much whisky! I hate whisky so will raise a glass of Sherry in honour of your dad tonight instead. X
far too much on a stomach with very little food xx Dad used to make a hot toddy that'd knock you out for days! and your cold would be gone
He sounds like a top bloke Lisa, and a genuine definition of legend. I'm sure he very much lives on in you, too Happy birthday Mr Jones x
I'm funnier than him! As some may have worked out when I got the news last February it was as I was about to embark on the work on the bay's chassis and taking off the belly pans, hence why I used an Elvis track for the title of that thread as a nod to dad. I have to say that if it hadn't been for the support from @scrooge95, @CollyP and @Lasty I wouldn't have got through that time. Turns out crying while angle grinding and wearing eye protection isn't the easiest thing to do! Thank you lovely people x
That’s so sad, I am really sorry - it’s awful when your dad goes. Especially when it’s suddenly like this. Brilliant that you have all the shared stories of his workmates, he sounds a real character - and a handsome devil too. Down the track his legendary status will give you lots of comfort and smiles. But right now I bet it’s really tough. Hope the funeral goes ok.
1. No need to apologise. 2. I don’t believe you 3. Raise a glass and celebrate his life. He sounds like a proper legend.
Very sorry for your loss Lisa ...He was clearly a very popular guy and a character and gained close friendship with ease . You must be very proud of him and rightly so ....hearts go with you Ewan & Caroline .
Sorry to hear your dad didn't make it I did play some Elvis on the show last night, consider it as a tribute to your lovely dad. ...
